STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD
RECOGNIZE GOD'S PLAN-PEACE IN LIFE
The bible says..."For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
REALIZE OUR PROBLEM-SEPARATION
People choose to disobey God and go their own way. This results in separation from God.
The bible says..."For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
RESPOND TO GOD'S REMEDY-CROSS OF CHRIST
God sent His Son to bridge the gap. Christ did this by paying the penalty of our sins when He died on the cross and rose from the grave.
The bible says..."But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
RECEIVE GOD'S SON-LORD AND SAVIOR
You cross the bridge into God's family when you ask Christ to come into your life.
The bible says..."Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
THE INVITATION IS TO:
REPENT(turn from your sins) and by faith RECEIVE Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow HIM in obedience as your Lord and Savior.
PRAYER OF COMMITMENT
"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me now. Amen."
IS THERE ANY HOPE?
The future is uncertain.
Families are falling apart.
Drugs are ruining cities and schools.
Desease is killing our people.
Can we have peace and joy in our hearts?
Can we have fulfillment in life?
Can we have power and strenght to live meaningful lives?
Does anyone really care?
YES! Here's Hope:
JESUS Cares for YOU.
The bible says:
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope, by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
MESSAGE TO PONDER
Don't give into short-term thinking.Stay focused on the end result.If we're to share His glory, we must also share His suffering. What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will give us later
Rejoice in the Lord always". No matter what's happening, you can rejoice in Gods love,care,wisdom,power, and faithfulness. Jesus said,"be full of waiting for you in heaven", for God will never leave on our own.
Be patient and persistent. Let the process go on until your endurance is fully developed, and you will find that you have become men of mature character, with no weak spots. Character building is a slow process. Whenever we try to avoid our escape the difficulties in life, we short-circuit the process, delay our growth, and actually end up with a worse kind of pain---the worthless type that accompanies denial and avoidance.
You'll know you are maturing when you begin to see the hand of God in the random, baffling, and seemingly pointless circumstances of life.
If you are facing trouble right now, don't ask "why me?", instead ask, "God, what do you want me to learn"? Then trust God and keep doing what is right.
You need to stick it out, staying with Gods plan so you'll be there for the promised completion. Don't Give Up---Grow Up!
IT'S NOT ABOUT MONEY, ITS THE TIME
The importance of things can be measured by how much time we are willing to invest in them.
The more time you give to something, the more you reveal its importance and value to you. Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can't make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back.
Your time is your life.
That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.
The most desired gift of love is not diamond or roses or chocolates. It is focused attention.
Love concentrates so intently on another that you forget yourself at that moment. Wheenever you give your time, you are making a sacrifice, and sacrifice is the essence of love.Follow the example of Christ who loved you and give Himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins.
